Worldwide Wednesdays - South Africa through Julie Lim's Lens

The past few weeks I've been religiously following Julie Lim's blog posts about her time in South Africa. Julie is an amazing up and coming photographer and is the lucky duck, who wedding photographer Christine Meintjes, personally choose to document all of her own upcoming wedding events. Worldwide Wednesdays - Africa & Shanna Jones Photography

Shanna Jones has an amazing career.  She shoots in South Africa during the southern hemisphere's summer and in the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States during the northern hemisphere's summer.  Can you say jealous? With summer year round and spending her time shooting amazing outdoor weddings, it would be hard to find a better gig!  In addition,  when I went through Shanna's portfolio, I was smitten over her unique clientele in South Africa and their choices for flowers, especially the orchid bracelet that draped beautifully from one of her brides wrist. The other day I stumbled upon the South Africa based photographer Christopher Munton and absolutely love his work and his unique clients.  I decided to design a board based on recent wedding that Christopher captured and I hope you enjoy.  I'm in love the natural, stylish feel of many of the weddings and the how cool would shuttling your guests in safari jeeps be? {Vicki}

Worldwide Wednesdays - South Africa

I came across a lovely image of an outdoor space on Elle Decoration South Africa and shot by Justin Patrick, a self-trained photographer out of Cape Town. The striking blue tile against the stark white wall, and the contrast with the yellow foliage, just perfect. A relaxed, modern and inspiring space.   


A second Cape Town, South African, photographer Jean-Pierre Uys was then recently featured on What Junebug Loves for an gorgeous South African wedding. I think some elements of this wedding paired perfectly with Justin Patrick's image and this is the inspiration board that resulted. I love the color palette, the modern florals, and the touch of vintage with a birdcage veil and a cute ring bearer outfit.
