Cozy Bridal Style

If you're planning a wedding in the Northeast, the chances are good for a chill in the air if your date falls anywhere from September to April. The brides below made sure they could take great natural light photos on their wedding day without goose bumps, chattering teeth, or the shivers. When you’re not cuddled up for a photo with your new hubby, how do you plan to stay warm on your wedding day?

Just a Vest - Groom's Attire

Today I'm headed out with one of my favorite local photographers to go antiquing, have lunch, and take some cute pictures of our new rescued puppy. Since it's August and I'm choosing between cute shorts or an airy dresses, I thought it was important to take a minute to think about all the summer grooms out there and what they can wear to stay cool and look cool at the same time.  The traditional suit or tux on a 90 degree day may not sound like the best idea and so many grooms are opting to just sport a cool vest.  I personally think it's the perfect option for so many grooms. Vest can be either formal or funky and can really show off the grooms style. Vest perfectly fit the feel of an outdoor wedding and can easily match the vibe of a city or country affair.  What will your groom be wearing on the big day? All is Calm Inspiration

Here are a few of the little things that are inspiring me this week. I've decided to order my 2010 calendar from Life Love Paper. What a great company name! It makes me think of the engraving on my wedding band "My Friend, My Love, My Life".  I also love the polaroid look that the calendar images have and it will be just perfect on my desk. 


I've also been swooning over so many bib necklaces and the Heart by Ban.do collection. I can't decide on just one. Vicki

Julianne Smith's Garters Now in Our Studio

I know we've raved about Julianne Smith's gorgeous work in the past, but we recently received some samples in the mail and they are just perfection. Each one is supper soft, exquisitely made, and can be customized in so many ways.

Woodland Bride

I helped a bride this past Saturday find a gorgeous couture gown at the Brides for Breast Cancer dress sale, and I was inspired by both the bride, her dress, and the venue. She's planning a wedding at Woodend Sanctuary, one of the few remaining grand historic estates in Chevy Chase, Maryland. This venue is set on 40 acres including a wildflower meadow and trails thru thick tree filled areas, perfect for stunning photos of the her and her new husband. I decided to create a quick inspiration board for her that included some items found on etsy, a dress in a similar style to hers, and a stunning lounge space.
